How we service our customers
ACS provides a nationwide calibration and repair service which includes collection and delivery services, traceable results to national standards, detailed certification (including results) and full guarantees on all work.Equipment is tested in a temperature controlled environment utilising state-of-the-art testing and calibration equipment with minor repairs carried out inclusive of calibration.
Fast reliable service
ACS repair services are designed to minimise downtime for our customers. This includes the holding of many parts and accessories in stock and the company also uses its own unique network of suppliers to obtain parts and information quickly and efficiently.
The quotation service is free with quotes provided within 2-3 days of receipt. Repairs are carried out on many different manufacturers’ equipment. ACS are also approved warranty repair agents for Megger and an approved service centre for Seaward products.
A transparent approach to repair
At ACS we are committed to providing the most economic approach to your repairs, giving honest considered advice on your instrument’s condition and its prognosis. We can even offer equivalent replacement units, at incredibly competitive prices, if it is not possible to repair your tester or where cost of repair is prohibitive.
As a premier provider of specialist calibration ACS manages client contracts and maintains complete calibration registers of equipment, removing the pressure of subcontracting different items to different calibration laboratories.
The vast majority of calibrations are carried out in our own laboratory. However ACS also has a select number of specialist partners who are utilised when very specific and unique knowledge of equipment is required. All ACS partners are accredited and must maintain ACS’s own high standards of service.
Effective support & response
The ACS repair service aims to deliver an efficient, cost-effective repair and parts service by focusing on the customers requirements. This is done by providing a free rapid response quotation service, immediately acting on client authorisations, reducing turnaround to an absolute minimum and utilising the professional network of suppliers to obtain parts without delay, often within 24hrs.
ACS offers a unique calibration opportunity, holding calibration days on-site in different locations throughout the UK. These will be held at your local branch of City Electrical Factors (CEF).ACS representatives will be on location on the specified days and will be able to show you the very latest state-of-the-art test equipment, which is required under current legislation. The onsite 'drop-in' service has been designed, to make it quick and easy for you to get your equipment calibrated. There will also be an opportunity to take advantage of many special promotions that are available for test equipment from leading manufacturers.
Discounted prices available on the day!
There are two specific types of calibration days: On-Site and Group days
On-site Calibration Day
An on-site calibration day is where our engineers attend specific branches on scheduled days with our mobile calibration facility. This enables you to call in with your test equipment, get them calibrated and pick them back up later that day. Or if required while you wait! Therefore making it simple for customers to get equipment calibrated, without it being out of service for too long.
Group Calibration Days
A ‘Group’ calibration day is a very similar format to an “On-Site” calibration day. The difference being, that a group day incorporates a number of branches collating the instruments requiring calibration and taking them to a central point, where our engineers will be waiting to service them. This enables a greater choice of branch locations for you to drop in your testers.
